A Wedding in the Country

We can host your rehearsal dinner, the wedding ceremony, and/or a gala reception at our farm in West Michigan. Our venue offers the option of a very casual setting or it can be elegantly transformed for a more traditional and sophisticated affair, both enriched by the lovely natural setting. It’s your special day … you choose!

The FarmblockFarm

We are proud to be a fourth generation farm family operating a real working fruit farm, corn maze and petting farm in New Era, Michigan.

The 700-acre farm is located in the heart of West Michigan, near the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan — just north of Muskegon/Whitehall and south of Pentwater. We grow ‘goodness’ at the farm, with an orchard of fruits (including 25 varieties of apples) and a delightful garden patch of vegetables.

blockCeremonyThe Ceremony

Bring your guests to the ceremony in a private wedding wagon and seat them on hand-crafted benches arranged to form a chapel in the orchard.  We have a lovely rustic arbor for the focal point of your ceremony.

We invite you to spend an hour of rehearsal or photography time at the farm prior to your event. You will have exclusive photography privileges on the farm for your special day.

blockReceptionThe Reception

From the ceremony to the reception can be as simple as a walk or wagon ride through the trees. We have a large pavilion that can seat a maximum of 200 guests inside at round tables. In the evenings, the pavilion area is aglow with string bulb lighting, giving the area a romantic ambiance. Before the night is over cuddle up or roast some s’mores at our gorgeous stone fire pit area.

We have no restrictions on vendors or caterers. Caterers must be licensed and alcohol is permitted when used in accordance with our farm policy.

blockFunThe Perks

A special perk for guests (and especially the children!) is our petting farm, with more than a dozen types of animals and birds. We have zebus, llamas and alpacas, a herd of Fallow Deer, prairie dogs some very entertaining goats, pheasants and peacocks — and the ever-popular camel, Jeffrey.

The farm’s giant jumping pillows and oversized rocking chairs are a delightful backdrop for memorable wedding party photos.
